Have you ever noted “Current Use” when viewing a listing on line?  What does Current Use actually mean?  The current manner which I am utilizing the property?  A common thought but, not the case.

Whether it be land or a home, property can be classified as such.

Intended to encourage preservation of open space and the conservation of land, forest, water, agricultural and wildlife.  10 acres or more of land allows an owner of property to a lower tax bill provided certain criteria are followed. Like most good things, there is an edge.  Should a property owner change the use, there is a penalty paid to offset the savings while in Current Use.
